I think this is the best of the warlords series. I love how oddly balanced it all is. a Summoner Vs. a Merchant doesn't sound like much of a fight. However the While the Summoner hero can churn out some high power monsters all but instantly, by the time they get to the enemies doorstep the merchant has already has an army waiting for them. I personally wish the classes weren't so restricted by race. if you want to play minotaur archmage your not going to be a great archmage but hey equal opportunity and all that. that being said excellent game. you have a ton of troop controls from sending them out randomly scouting, or randomly hunting enemies, or having them attack anything that comes in range but not move. their are seriously like a dozen plus standing orders plus a bunch of player made ones fully supported by the developer. their are so many units in this game almost every army has a dozenish units in each army. and not counting dragons has one or 2 units they share with 1 or 2 other armies. plus units you can only get by finish quests, casting certain spells, or capturing special buildings. arguably the best part is the retinue system and the fact that you can command any army you have taken the capital of. nothing better than seeing my demon or dark elf general surrounded by fairies and unicorns LOL I love it. this game is one of those a minute to learn a life time to master kind of deals. you can start playing and assuming your fairly in the know on RTS games you're good to go in about 5 minutes. the game isn't great when it comes to tutorials if I recall correctly they don't actually exist but it eases you in nice and slow it practically hands you your first 2 or 3 territories before it even starts putting up a real effort. however after you mastered one class you still have dozens of other classes plus races to master. You know what I was going to wait for a sale but I just talked myself into buying this game right now. SEE YOU IN ETHERIA!!!
