It does not matter whether you do a manual save or it is a checkpoint save, if you have to load it up because you died you may be sitting there for 4 minutes possibly more to load a simple save to begin to play. And if you are dying often then it makes the game miserable to play. This game should be free until they fix this issue
This game has constant corrupted game saves. If you want to complete the game you have to cheat with god mode. the game will save and load a few times but after that it will constantly crash the game upon loading a game save. It has the same problem on steam. The game is not even worth being free. I have spoke with Gog about the issue and done everything they have said to do as far as reinstalling the game and even going above and beyond and trying it on different computers and making sure everything is installed correctly with 3 different operating systems. Windows 7 x64, W10x64, W11 x64. All of them produced the same result.
