I don't believe any game will ever top this one. I've waited a long time for my next favorite game, and it never came. I play a lot of games. I love a lot of games for very different reasons. Rarely ever is it story and characters these days. I have not played Baldur's Gate 3, yet, tho. So, I'm hoping that changes with that game when I play it. There is just something about this one. I'm not sure if it's the masterpiece I believe it is in my heart, if it was just timed at a point when this game hit the hardest with me, or some combination of both. All I know is I've waited for another game to live up to this one and nothing ever has. A true masterpiece. Firing it up 10 years later, it still looks gorgeous and feels good to play. And when people speak, I want to listen. I'm a big dialogue skipper, but I find it hard to skip it in Witcher 3. It's all just done so well. Especially when you get to the Baron. This was, and will always be, a 10/10 for me.
