I played this game v1.0 on Stadia. It was a fantastic game, but ofc riddled with issues. Now in 2025 I actually bought a PC powerful enough to run it (5060 graphicsscard etc). But it keeps crashing every 15-30 minutes even after turning tons of graphical options off. It actually feels worse to play than the V1.0 Stadia verssion...

In short: Its good. Unlike most RPGs this one feels more dynamic. You can often solve things in a myriad of ways. You can teleport wich makes a huuuge difference in exploring. Its good, no doubt, The bad part? There are a few 1) The clutter. A million scrolls, grenades, skills etc, and all gets jammed into a skillbar that easily gets messy and is clunky to rearange. You also get new gear ALL the time. It felt more diablo than Baldurs Gate. You there was a constant hunt for gear, and I felt it would have been better with "static" gear like Baldurs, rather than this procedural stuff. Just HOPE the merchant has restocked a chestpiece that is good for your archer... 2) The need to grind. You CAN find the way to leave the first act quite quickly, but you NEED the exp, so I felt you need to do ALL the ways. Same with the objective for the next act. You can get what you need quite quick , but you need to find the other places for the exp. 3) The combat. The combat is good, but I felt it worked better in Original Sin 1. In that game I used 2 phyiscal damagedealer and 2 mages. Here you need to break their physical or magical armour to inflict statuses. So it was better to focus on one. There were lone exceptions but overall this made it a bit boring. 4) Slow ass tempo. This was the kicker that made me uninstall today. I played for a few hours each day. But it started to feel more and more like a slog. It wasnt a joy and/or a chance to get a leg up to explore the map anymore, it was a chore. 5) ALMOST a good story. I wanted to find out more of the story, but the slow ass tempo made it loose steam every time tl;dr, pretty good, but flawed. For people with more energy and/or time it might work better.

This expansion is more of the same. So if you want more Tyranny? Then this is okay. To go into a little more detail. You get some companion quests. Those are decent, but a bit shallow. No real emotional "oomph" to them. You also get to explore some new maps. There is some interesting lore about the old walls, but the plot isnt THAT good. This is NOT like say Throne of Bhaal, where you get tons more story and a new epic conclusion. Not a must, but I enjoyed it.
