An amazing game, just as good as the first Hollow Knight. Hornet’s approach is a bit different since it has a stronger focus on parkour. In combat, the parry is more finely tuned than in the first game. The consumable silk mechanic adds a different and interesting challenge. The option to switch emblems helps a lot in certain boss battles, especially in Act 3. For those who don’t have a powerful PC, playing on Linux can be a great option, as the game and system together use little GPU power (GTX 1050 TI) and only about 3.5 GB of RAM — quite different from Windows. For fans of this genre, be ready for plenty of discoveries and many hours of fun! Those who say the game is masochistic or too difficult surely haven’t played the Path of Pain and the Godhome in the first game.
