I no longer enjoy Skyrim because of the Wither 3, it now seem dull and lackluster. This is one of the best open world rpg's I've every played. The attention to detail, voice acting, makes every quest, be it major or minor side feel hand crafted. It's also dark and gritty, an doesn't pull punches like other games. there's also consequences to your actions and in-actions that are not revealed until latter in the game. It continues the story from the first two, but is a standalone story that doesn't requiring the previous ones.

1-Star Review - Was one of the kickstarter backers, purchased both White March Expansions. I'll be honest, a bit miffed I would have to buy this edition to get the "all-new dlc" that comes with the Definitive Edition" of this game. 4-Star Review - If you ignore my 1-Star Review rant, this game is a 4 star game, with great writing and depth.

The game is an indie game that got hyped to be like an AAA title. It's a great explorer, collect resources, upgrade tech, etc. This game may not be not for everyone. Now for the technical site of things... This game has a lot of potential, however it's still beta. It uses OpenGL (vs DirectX) which explains some of the odd performance features and consumes a LOT of system memory. The auto save is a bit ... random for and changing graphics, existing out and logging back in makes me lose progress. Also... try change the FOV (field of view) setting in the display to 100. It was hard to navigate or notice the drones that could attack you let alone navigating with the default

If you liked Fallout 1 or 2, you will really like Arcanum. The game / play style is very similar, but the world / setting is very different. You create a character (or chose a pre-made) and allow you to develop your character along technology skill pathways, or magic (not both). A great mix of magic and tech competing with each other in fantasy 1920's feel.
