Sam & Max Hit the Road

Finally beat this!

I tried playing this when I was a kid, and I thought it was too hard. I played through this time and somehow the answers feel more intuitive than I remember! Finally got some closure and figured out what that game was actually about! Great voice acting, fun artwork (although a remastering would have been nice) and hilarious writing :D

Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Better than I remember :D

When was the last time I played this game? Over 15 years ago! I remember that it took me weeks to beat, and I did not have the luxury of walkthroughs at that time. With the remastered version, I was surprised that I finished it in a couple of days, glad that I remembered most of the puzzles (I don't have as much free time anymore!). I was blown away with how BEAUTIFUL the animation looked! I wondered, surely it looked similar to this when I was a kid? So I switched it back to the classic graphics and AGH, was it really THAT pixely back then?! I guess my brain filled in the rest of the details ;) If anyone is complaining that they switched the classic "verb bar" to the "verb wheel" you can easily change this in the settings, I definitely prefer the classic verb bar! The character design and voice acting was delightful and is a great example of colourful, unique, and equally likeable characters. This type of game is easily modernized, I can see myself really enjoying this on a tablet!

Thimbleweed Park

Not what I expected, but worth it

The story started out a bit slow and had trouble captivating me, but I kept going. The story grew and there were more characters, items and locations involved... in fact too many. When I actually completed the game, the game felt hugely incomplete. In a way, I like that the unexpected unexpectedness caught me off guard but I also feel like there were a lot of annoying holes, intentional or not. Overall I was entertained and it was worth the purchase, and I hope they make more games like this, so they have my support.
