I don't normally review games, despite owning perhaps 200+. But I just thought I had to say that this is brilliant, if you like Isometric turn based indie games (which, clearly I do). I loved Fallout 1 & 2 & Fallout Tactics, Shadowrun, X-Com and Atom and this is as good in my opinion. As to all the negative reviews (including one that's entitled "Not recommended unless you're a furry"), I can only say that they have no sense of humour. I bought this on sale, but I would have paid full price if I had known how good it was.
I have only been playing for a few days (and my characters are level 4), but I think this is a really great game. I was an AD&D Dungeon Master in my 20s and 30s and I think this a brilliant computer adaptation of the game.
I have been playing games for quite a few decades now and I have quite a few favourites in this genre (Fallout series, Oblivion, Kingdom Come, Witcher etc). But this one has blown me away. True, you can only play one character (Aloy), but she is great and the story is very good. So, even after reading some of the reviews which have some negative points, I have no reservations but to say this is brilliant.
