A Plague Tale: Innocence

Been waiting ages to play this game!

I got the game for free with Prime gaming. Ive seen the sequel to this game kicking around on gamepass for a while and it looked fantastic, however, i did not want to play it without playing this first. I kept waiting for a sale or something but always missed my chance, then to my pleasant surprise i found out about Prime games (wish i knew a LOT sooner, seems ive missed out on many fun titles) and was able to score the game for free. The game, is fantastic. The graphics are great, but theres no ultrawide support which is a shame. It does support high refresh rates though which is nice. The performance is flawless and the lighting is absolutely gorgeous for what it is. I'm only a couple of hours into the story but im throughly enjoying it, there are some almost horror like touches to the game which are impressive. I will definitely be finishing this game and moving onto the sequel straight after. Running maxed out over 180fps on a 12400f, RTX 4070s with 32GB ram and on a 2TB NVME drive. The game loads so fast i cant even see the tips or messages on the loading screens lol I would highly reccomend this game for people who enjoy stealth games with a strong narrative. This isnt a run and gun and kill everything with magical powers and plot armour game. You have to take it slow and methodically, ive got the poor protagonist killed in a variety of different ways already (oops) and learned and adjusted my approach. It isnt an unfair game but if you arent paying attention youll get caught, and killing should always be a last resort as you will often alert everyone else around. genuinely excited to see how the game plays out. And to anyone just getting into the game, remember, Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
