It's a pretty linear story rather than a more overarching "kingdom management rpg" as advertised. There's a short few choices that matter, many that don't, and some things that seem like they should be choices, but aren't at all. Nevertheless, as a story with some light management elements it does a pretty good job and has plenty of amusement and entertainment- along with a fairly heavy dose of dispair when choices turn out to be wrong all the time.
