Been gaming since Atari 2600 days in the early 1980s. I've played the most epic hits - This game, for whatever reason, captured my imagination and attention more than anything. You are really in the story. This is not about farming for gold, or items. You REALLY want to learn everything about the Witcher and the world. The supporting cast almost becomes family. I know, you're laughing. I wish I could describe it, but the Witcher games, when paired with the books bring you so deep into this experience, you won't ever play a better game. The maturity of the game's depth really shows when you have deep interactions with townsfolks and other people in side stories. The words 'side story' don't even fit. The stories are deeper and more entertaining than some full games. They put a TON of effort into the details and it shows here. YET...it's not overwhelming. I never felt like I had to learn to much, or missed out. And when i did take a certain path or change my story, wel...I played again, and again. The characters of Geralt, Yen, Triss, Vessimir, Dandelion...they're all so deep, and it's amazing to see how they each have such presence in the story, I don't know if there will ever be a better character, story, or game. It's almost unfair to the competition. Move over Blizzard....there is a new group in town, and they just knocked you off the top of the hill.
