I remember accidentally bumping into this game back around 1998 when I was 12. I loved the concept of running a business empire, manufacturing and selling products - all by clicking around, watching numbers, and charts. Of course I knew nothing about the business world, and could hardly ever beat the very first scenario, but it was still fun. Now 20+ years later I was thrilled to see this again. God, I love this game so much - and I hate it even more. Let's be clear: this game can't be won. No matter what you do, you just can't win. It's extremely hard. Unless you are a financial expert and can focus on numbers and charts continously for hours, forget it. Just play for the sake of short-term enjoyment. I remember playing on the slowest setting, with one opponent, on Very Easy. I carefully studied all steps of the CPU. When it built a store and where, what products was it selling, at what price, when it started R&D or advertisement, when it bought stocks. I copied everything (with slightly different but equal class products, to avoid sales conflict). No dice. Each time I ultimately reached a point when the computer had profit to buy that next firm and I didn't. 100 out of 100 times - on the lowest difficulty. No matter what you do, the computer always wins. If you play on your own, on normal speed settings, it's 99% that you'll be bankrupt in 5-20 years. I have no idea why I start a new game when I perfectly know that there's zero chance I will win. But I still do. Cause this game is still a very good time killer.
