Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Bad design

I had the unfortunate pleasure to play this game on Steam and refunded it after half an hour. There is some value in some of the cartoonish designs and "Star Wars" feels, but that's it. It looks and play like un unfinished project. There is no cohesion between the Ui, character design, cut scenes, and gameplay. It's repetitive and uninteresting. I am sure that the people working on title are talented and dedicated but they clearly lacked time, budget and art power to make this game.

Cyberpunk 2077

Give me a reason to level up.

I love this game. I have played more than a thousand hours on Steam. Besides the recurring bugs, the game mechanics offer a solid gameplay experience. The acting, animations and presentation is top notch. Side missions are well written and will keep you entertain for 50+ hours. Fixers, Street cred and jobs lived in a somewhat good bubble of gameplay loops, although they lead literally nowhere. You become a great merc, that's it. My beef is that: LEVELING YOUR CHARACTER HAS NO CONSEQUENCE ON THE MAIN PLOT AT NO POINT IN TIME, EVER! You can pick specific NCPD jobs or locations to acquire a set of clothes (or buy them), few skill points, a good weapon and never have to EVER do any jobs outside of the main story and you can still beat the game pretty easily. You will level up naturally through the main quests and level your street cred enough to never have to set foot in any district, dirtying your hands for any fixers. THERE IS NO GAME MECHANICS CONNECTING "PLAYING A MERC IN NIGHT CITY" AND "UNRAVELLING THE MAIN PLOT". Merc life is great, story is great, City is amazing. None of these are connected to each other.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

I got baited hard. And I took the bait.

I own every hard copies of BG+ extension, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. I have played those games for thousands of hours combined. I got baited by a good bundle price. I was happy to being able to install these games on any machines without suffering a CD-Rom installation. So I jumped on the bundle. BG 1 does not have the original cutscenes, the intro and the menus are a mockery of design standards. The menu is horrible and useless. The screens grabs and video of gameplay on the product page are from the original version, not the "enhanced" version. Yes, that is false advertisement. NWN and 2 have no enhancements whatsoever. Same bugs and same Ui problems from 20 years ago. If I wanted or even needed extra Shaders in my scenes, I would have helped myself. These "Enhanced Editions" are a marketing travesty. Stay away from Beamdog's production.
