Running 14.04 and WINE 1.7, this games runs flawlessly. Ish :-) I would recommend using WINE with a virtual desktop - otherwise the low resolution can "stick" if you exit the game. Also works with the Widescreen patch. You can get multiplayer working with winetricks directplay.
