If fast action co-op multi player is your thing then DOOM II is probably still the best game of its type even today or if you would rather have a death match well started with DOOM as well :-) But I would recommend playing it with one of the many source ports rather than using DOSbox, but I will let you select the one that works best on your platform. Here are some good options for modern ports: http://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/Chocolate_Doom is a good option if you want to keep the original graphics and full backwards compatibility with the dos version. https://zandronum.com/ is my pick for multi player online action with enhanced graphics. http://dengine.net/ is also another good option as well. For anyone who things the full price is a bit high, you get many more hours of fun with the Doom games than you would get from spending the same money at the cinema.
The version currently on sale on GOG is broken and its not possible to play and more than the first mission. Do not purchase this game until it is fixed unless you like paying $19.99 for a one mission demo :-( For more details see: www.gog.com/forum/omerta_city_of_gangsters/cannot_continue_from_main_avenue_start_of_the_game/page1
