My fav silent hunter was #2, this game is very different but still great fun. Love that it performs like a champ on my macbook m1 with zero loadtimes and amazing frame rate. Only complaint is i wish there was more missions. (you can make your own though) . Game needs an expansion or user made scenarios that can be shared.

Glad this 6th edition of tropico is on Gog! It runs just fine for me on my pc and mac. Ive been playing the series since the original over 20 years ago. It still has its charm and keeps getting better. Viva el presidente! If you like sim type games and have never tried it definately give it a try.

This game is a GEM, so so many poeple have never played it and are missing out. Its similar to a spaceship horror survival version of HalfLife with limited ammo and errie atmosphere designed to raise your heart rate. What makes this game unique is the class/rpg elements such as skills, magic, weapons skills etc. This game will run on almost any half way decent mac or pc which makes things even better. HOWEVER, it is dated, to fix this there are new texture pack mods that can be downloaded. This makes textures and objects go from 128x128 res to 4096x4096. The gog version of this game is officially "up to date" with the patch but does not include the textures. You can add them or play without, either way its an amazing experience and a must play! if you need help installing the textures shoot me a message, ill duck.

Played for a few hours and the controls are a bit sluggish. Had to turn down graphics settings for performance and then started seeing polygon artifacts in front of me as if I was wearing a hat or something obstructing my view. Great concept, could of been better execution.

I really really looked forward to this game because of all the hype, and I love sim games. Most poeple call this game SimMars. Ive played a few times starting over and over beccause of the learning curve. I have not reached end game however, because as others have stated the game is uber uber slow. While that can be a pro or con my main beef with the game is its requirements. 8gb ram, 4gb graphics card?? and a quad core CPU as fast as possible ???! I have 16gb ram and a 2.5gb quad core with an ATI card and the game STILL runs under 30fps with all the settings at lowest. Its like programmer just dont know how to program anymore. Do they just take engines and slap them together with graphics and whatever the performance outcome is it doesnt matter? Its sad when you own a game, have the pc to play it, and still can barely use it. Shouldnt need 4gb liquid cooled graphics cards to play a city builder.

Honestly I get more enjoyment out of Sim City 2000 than any of the later iterations of the game. Although not as complex and easier to master it is a true classic. If you have never played this nostalgic classic do yourself a favor and try one of the most polished classics.

This seems like a great concept, I enjoyed the combat, especially since its not turn based and it is not a one shot kill. However a quad core 3.4ghz processor recommended seemed like over kill, but I guess its not. Im way above. the minimum requirements but the gameplay is smooth but yet slow enough to get bored easily.
