Inquisitor

Stopped Playing Due to Bugs

This game has a lot of potential: unique biblical end-of-Medieval-world setting, good story, some good dialogue, swift level advancement, lots of skills, and lots of spells. But I had to stop playing due to an annoying bug that wouldn't let me re-don my armor of choice. You can't beat the game without good armor because once you die the game is over and you have to reload. Other bugs include the right panel shaded in red all of a sudden (don't save when this happens. it is important to save frequently in this game. immediately close game and restart) and several crashes to desktop. If it weren't for these, easily five stars for uniqueness alone

Quest for Infamy

Enoyable but Buggy

Very enjoyable old school Quest for Glory clone with dark humor. However, very buggy so can't give more than 5 stars. Plus fights are boring and repetitive.

Eschalon: Book I

Fun Old School Turn Based RPG

Enjoyable. More challenging as a squishy mage than a hardy fighter, you get old school goodness from this title. If you don't mind lots of walking and sleeping to recharge your character, then this game might be worth your time. Nothing terribly original here, but it has all your beloved fantasy rpg elements: magic, merchants, leveling up, side quests and exploration. Enjoy!

Eschalon: Book II

Enjoyable Old School RPG

If you don't mind tedious slow walk travel system and enjoy a standard rpg story with old school turn-based combat then you will enjoy. Not very different from Book I. If you finished Book I and want to continue the story, then buy this, especially if on sale. Good spell selection. Lots of armor and weapons. Save your coins!

Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition

Review of the Non Enhanced Edition

Classic. More linear than Baldur's Gate, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Love creating/controlling a whole party of characters. Battles can be very challenging and sometimes need repeating, but with the classic save and load scheme, it is not a hassle. Want an old-school AD&D experience then you've come for the right game. Good story. Good times. I have seen LPs of the enhanced edition and thankfully they only added on without taking away. Enoy.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Satisfying Dark Tale

Thoroughly enjoyed this dark tale and didn't mind the battle mechanic where you need to time your mouse clicks for maximum result. The story is just so good and so is the crafting mechanic and meditation mechanic as well as the magic signs. Very fresh and original. Had no problem playing with a mouse and keyboard as I have with the second iteration.

Eschalon: Book III

More of the Same - Still Good Stuff

If you enjoyed the first two games then you will enjoy this, its conclusion. The ending may leave something to be desired but the game's mechanics haven't changed and if you like an old-school rpg experience, this one is another safe bet. Playing as a fighter is a bit easier than a wizard as you are not as squishy. Put some points into bow for good measure as you will need it to ignite some barrels from a safe distance. Try not to get the guards angry as they are very powerful and will always seek you out when you are in town. That means if you want to rob a spot, don't get caught!
