Guns, Gore & Cannoli

Extraordinary enjoyable!

Straightforward action, extremely enjoyable. Looks good, feels good, the sounds and music are great. Simple and pure fun. Highly recommend! As a side note, playing it on the hardest difficulty took me sufficiently more that 3.5 hours.

Return of the Obra Dinn

Unique!

I do not think I have ever played something like this. Wonderful mix of puzzle and mystery. For the first 15 or so minutes I was like "What am I supposed to do with a book almost filled with empty sheets and a watch-like thingy". But soon enough everything becomes clear and it is absolutely extraordinary. Very well thought out interface so that the player can move and verify hypothesis quickly. All the scenes are prepared so that there is not even the slimmest possibility of any ambiguity. Even when I solved a puzzle by chance, upon revisiting the scene in became obvious that all the clues are there, one must only look without any prejudice, with a clear mind. As other reviews have mentioned the music, voicing, atmosphere - simply superb! Highly recommend!

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure Deluxe Edition

Awesome "classic" point-and-click adventure

The right companion for a solitary late evening. A game with an awesome ambient environment of a point-and-click adventure with a classic look and feel (I have enjoyed a lot of the 90s games so my first play-through of this gem was a very "nostalgic" experience). The puzzles are great (there are even a few that I solved through pure luck, so you might expect a bit of a challenge here and there), as is the hint system. The pace in which the story evolves is just the right one. The game does all that it promises and does it brilliantly! Kudos to a three person team that not only made an excellent game but were able to set the right expectations - something that is quite difficult, in my opinion. Strongly recommend!
