It's got a certain charm and personality in it that you definitely feel compared to the generic corpo slop that gets pumped out every year. It's amazing what a small studio with a vision and no leash can create! It's literal art! The story is based on a book series from some russian dude and I hear it stays pretty faithful to the books so if there's any accuracy to that statement then I need to go read the books bc the game was AWESOME! 10/10 would reccomend to anyone! Also. play in, "Ranger" mode for a unique experience where there's no HUD and some of the other mechanics really gives it this sense of realism that makes you feel like you really are out in the radiated wasteland of chernobyl or something struggling to survive!
I rarely play anything other than first-person-shooters, but the Hitman series was always unique enough and fun to hold my attention so I always loved the series. While this one felt a little more linear than older titles, I still had a blast playing it! I kept seeing online that people didnt like how cinematic this one was, but I always appreciate a good story and this definitely excelled in that aspect. Also, props to GOG for bringing this to me DRM free! In a world full of licensing and, "You'll own nothing and be happy" type stuff, it's nice to ACTUALLY own what you paid for!
