Transport Fever 2

Excellent Logistics Game

I almost want to call this a train game, since rail is defintely the darling of the game. With transport by road, you just have to build roads, pick up, and drop off stations without worrying about route management (unless you're waypointing to avoidd busy areas). With boats and plans you just click the route, add a vehicle, and fold your arms. The biggest warning I would give new players coming from other train games is that the supply/demand in this game 1) works backwards from usual, and 2) is very hard to get feel for. I'll explain myself in a moment, but to wrap up my thoughts: it's definitely a worthwhile game that goes DEEP. Back to supply demand... 1) Essentially goods and people are "pulled" to their wanted destination once you connect a network of transport. This means the consumer signals upstream to the provider, and it can take some in game time to get your transports efficiently (and profitably) running cargo. This means some empty vehicles at the beginning. 2) There is no view where you can see "X goods per minute provided to transport which can carry X goods per minute to consumer that wants X goods per minute." Instead you look at transport percentages. The provider ones is what % is carried away. The consumer one is what % of demand is satisfied. So you have to go through several windows just to understand where your bottlenecks are.
