Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

Truly a Timeless Classic

So I've been playing this game since I was about 7 years old, so on and off for the past 27 years. It still manages to surprise me, challenge me (and kick my ass most of the time). I have so much love for the game, and yeah, some of it is nostalgia... But it holds up. It more than holds up after all these years. Narrative Depth... Not that kind of game, although you do get some of that in the campaigns, even some of the larger maps have a story behind them; and depending on how I feel I might get into it, or ignore it completely Graphics & Sound The soundtrack is one of the best ever, sometimes I would just pause and watch the scene and listen. Each type of terrain has its theme, and of course each castle/faction has its theme. I won't go into all of them but for instance, Rampart (the elf and unicorn town) has the relaxing theme that speaks of balance and harmony with nature. Then Fortress has this whimsical, sinister vibe that slowly turns into this epic and dramatic piece... Needs to be experienced. Visuals and graphics, of course they are dated now but somehow still very pleasing; everything looks great, not much to say here! Replayability... Well, I keep coming back and probably will still be playing this in my 70s and 80s so...
