Easily one of the easiest games to fall back into, with a progression and tutorial system that feels like you are earining each promotion and learning at a pace that allows for you to grasp each concept before layering on the next. Now that the game is set-up to run well in the GOG Galaxy without work arounds to make it happen, it is truly worth checking out whether or not you've played it before!
As someone who has made a tradition of making HOMM3 one of the first games to be installed on any computer, and playing family in hotseat games during holidays since it came out, this mod has given a new and excitng breath of life to an old game. It adds many incredible quality of life upgrades, and creates new stories in ways that feel organic and right at home alongside the base game, expansion and chronicles.
