I was looking forward for this game since a long time. And now it was released, i bought it and had to discover, that it still full of bugs. Companions are quite often not following you, because they are blocked somewhere, where they are able to get out without help. I try to build a building, click on the worker to build it, and the resources vanish, but the worker does not the job. The last straw was, when i gave the order and the worker appeared stuck in an non-accessable area of the map.... The game is still beta, the basics work, but at the moment you are not able to enjoy it.
I played Endzone 1 for a long time. I still get ill from the bad coloring there. Endzone 2 tries to make a lot better, better coloring, good expeditions, a larger world to discover... But then you create a settlement and the settlers just pop up and grow up instantly. I miss any connection to them. They are just a number. I don´t have to care for them like in the first game. It feels strange und unpersonal. I would give it a 3.5, but thats not possible.
I had great grafics on "the witcher 3" and "Cyberpunk". And a lot of other games. But playing this? Even putting in "Ultra" looks like whoever did the adaption from Playstation to PC tried to make it as bad as possible. I tested out 10 games up to now which were adapted from Playstation to PC. 9 of them were badly made in one way or another. (grafics or controls). This game just joined this ranks. Shame on you playstation.
I was looking forward for this game on PC for years. So, i bought it, when it was offered in a bundle on steam. I regret buying it. The grafics are great, the story seems to be good, but the PC-adaption was done really badly. First of all, automatic targeting is installed automaticly. I mean, i know, that PS-players are not able to shoot and all this, but putting this in a PC-game makes me feel like an idiot and cheater. When enemies behind you or hiding behind cover dying by you, because you just press a button? It destroys any fun you can have in a game. The next thing were constant bugs: First encounter and you suddenly cannot run any more, because the game decides to take it away? I needed hours to find the solution, that you need to reload to get rid of it. When i was stuck hanging on some climbing ledge at the first temple, because the control was not allowing me to release, it was enough for me. Could be a great game. I think. At least millions of PS-players swear on it.
The game is about the leader of the biggest party in a fictive country during the cold war era. This country is located between 5 other countries (+ connections to two fictional western and eastern superpowers), which have different political orientations and viewpoints regarding your country. Having to deal with a lot of intern and extern poitical difficulties, as well as trying to keep a family does make the game quite a challenge. I played the game several times and i liked it a lot: there is a lot of backstabbing and people interested in politics will be able to enjoy it. If you liked "house of cards", you might like this game, too. You have to make a lot of decisions and you can never be sure, which outcome you have to expect. What i did not like, was, that it is quite short! You play only for one term (4 years), the main goal is to be reelected, but you cannot continue to play then. Even as i played it for several times in the urge to "win", i have a playtime of less then 22 hours. One playthrough is maybe 6-8 hours, its a lot less, when ignoring the story and just concentrating on the decisions. And i did not like the strange outcomes: leading the biggest party with 60% of the votes in the first term and as i were able to banish poverty, decrease unemployment a lot, gave free housing and free medical care and lowered the pension age, i still lost in the next vote to some leftist opposite party. When i did win, i did not win because of my political achievements. Still, i liked it a lot, as the game gave me quite the lessons in the field of negotions. The grafics are minimalistic and there are no videos. Everything happens via text, so you have to read a lot. The story makes sense and I encountered no bugs. So, i was able to enjoy the game. A problem is: i doubt, that i will spent a lot more time in this game, as i have seen most of it.
After reading the other reviews, i was curious. Then i began to play. And what did i have to see? I have to wait, wait, wait and wait that my minions do something. What is the game about? you lead some kind of dwarven tribe, which was given the task of catch Fenryr, the "dog" of Odin. You do this by collecting 6 rings, which were part of the chain of Fenryr. For this you dig into the ground, build buildings and construct items. You do this by giving your dwarves orders, which are followed directly or indirectly. But what do i have to see? Most of the time they do not do something, even after given them direct orders, or assigning dwarven to some building. So, i have to wait. And wait, and wait. Even on highest speed, they either do nothing or only after some eternity. Having to sit there for an hour hoping for somebody constructing some sawmill, i had to fight the urge to jump into the game and build it by myself. If you love to watch snails races or watching drops of water carving out stones, then this game is something for you. For me, i retreat from this patient puzzle and play some other game.
