Cyberpunk 2077

Flawed but still fun

I bought this game because it looked exciting and I had just bought a PC with a 3080. I had heard the mixed reviews and have found them mostly untrue. The weakest part of the game I would say is the length, as it is a surprisingly short game if you only stick to the main quest. If you branch out, there are quite a few things to do which really expand the experience. In the same vein, the story is kind of weak. It really forces you to play one kind of character, and the Johnny storyline is mostly annoying to me. That being said, the gameplay itself is great. It allows to use a number of playstyles, from stealth killing everything, to coming in guns blazing or using a baseball bat. It does have a number of bugs, but these have been primarily cosmetic in my experience. This game has never crashed on me. I compare the bugs to Skyrim, where watching a mammoth randomly fall from the sky is hilarious and part of the charm. In Cyberpunk, enemies will randomly fall down, or you'll come across a car randomly buried in cement or floating in the air. Goofy physics happen fairly regularly, and it is fun. Sometimes quest AI will be unable to handle making a U turn or something silly like that. Overall, a great game and it was worth the money to me.
