This game scratched a few itches for me. I loved Slay the Spire and while this game lacks the deck-building aspect, the dice rolling was a nice mechanic. Leveling up was relatively simple. I even liked the merchant/quest aspect of the game where you can take blubber and sell it at the most profitable ports. Only reason why I'm knocking off one star is that it lacks replayability. In my single playthrough I saw the same events over and over. There's not a lot of variety there. My general rule of thumb is that I'd like to get 1 hour of entertainment per $2 spent. I completed the game in just over 13 hours and since I got it on sale, it was well worth the money. It's a fun game and I definitely recommend it if it looks intriguing.
This game was my first introduction into the Shadowrun world. I knew very little about it going in and caught the game on sale. Straight and to the point: This is a great game. It feels a bit linear but I can't fault it too much for that. Many RPGs have to railroad you a bit. However, there are optional missions to support your team (Glory's mission was really enjoyable) and the area around the base. I enjoyed the game a lot. Highly recommended. If you like XCom or other turn-based RPGs, give this one a shot.
