What the...?

I played this for like 5 seconds and realized it wasn't for me. If you're like 13 or younger, feel free to go gaga.

Lure of the Temptress (1992)

Got bored

While I love medieval rompers and mysteries, this was just too much random talking to people to figure out what to do next. Some of the things you have to do are not intuitive and there's not much to do but find the right item and say the right thing to the right person at the right time to advance. Decent graphics and interface, but too slow and monotonous to keep my interest.

Beneath a Steel Sky (1994)

Promising, but weird

This game is good-old fashioned cyberdystopia, but it gets mired in goose chases and silly dialog. I love the gadgetry, twisting storyline, and futuristic setting, but it's mostly a lot of walking around talking to everybody and doing menial tasks to get a bit of hilarity and cool bionic implants. If this were focused more on story and action, it would be great.

Doesn't run well

I own this game for DOS and I bought the GOG version to play on Windows XP, but the framerate is so low even on a Core 2 Duo that it's more worth it to me to just play the DOS version on my old Windows 98 box.

Bloody Good

Still as hilarious and gory as I remember it, however the GOG version had some strange bugs that almost made it unplayable. Unless you have a really fast machine, you won't be able to get a good framerate at any of the higher resolutions, and it was impossible to disable music. I think I will be getting the original DOS version and running it on my old Windows 98 machine.
