The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

A must-play for RPG fans

The Witcher is a real gem among RPGs, and more than worthy to have been Game of the Year when it was released. Starting from the fantastic cinematic intro and going into the dark fantasy game world, the game's virtues are slowly discovered: the convincing game world, the storyline and the traditional RPG elements, which together make the game shine. There's also the interesting choice between playing in first or third person views, which make the game appeal to different levels of gamer seriousness as well. The game does have a few flaws: the skill trees are not balanced (there are worthless skills that you should completely ignore), it has a unique combat system that benefits from timed clicking skills (personally I found that a refreshing change), and the story slows down perhaps too much in the 60%-80% portion of gameplay. Even so, this is a game of the highest standard that no person who loves their RPG should miss. Strongly recommended!
