I regret not buying this game on steam, because then I could use refund option. The good parts are artstyle and sound design, although not really exceptional. From the very beginning story sounds boring and not at all interesting, the controls are wanky, camera placement does a poor work of informing player if there's someone around him and often results in trying to climb while being obstructed by invisible roof, combat is... it just is. I really regret buying this game.
The game so far lacks many important features, like buying new ship. The world is rather barren and you can't talk to your crew members, but that's going to change (soon I hope). So far Sunless Skies feels like a much faster, better looking Sunless Sea, with improved (albeit not great) fighting system. The rate, at which you lose fuel and supplies has decreased, which allows going further, and exploring more, which is a must given how few important places are. The bugs are there, although not game-breaking. Overall it's a pleasant experience, if the developers keep improving this title, i won't mind giving it five stars.
