After almost 30 years, I can finally play Heretic and Hexen (with new content, to boot) in Windows 11 Pro for Workstations at 4K with enhanced graphics and sound, full controller support, and yes, cheat codes! And I got it for free (since I own the originals)! Thank you, id Software and Nighdive Studios, for this great remastered package of two classic games, and to GOG for offering it DRM-free; you are truly the best for retro, current, and future gaming. Keep up the good work!
There's much to say about Doom that hasn't already been said: this is the game we've all been waiting for on GOG. Multiplayer is missing, but the single-player campaign is where it's at. I hope that Doom Eternal will be available soon. Thank you, Good Old Games!
I can now play Dark Forces in Windows. Remastered, no less. Here's hoping the rest of the franchise receives the same treatment from NightDive Studios.
This is the remaster you've been waiting for. Improved graphics, support for controllers, and a new expansion in addition to Ground Zero and The Reckoning. Quake II is as enjoyable to play now as it was back in '97 upon release, more so even.
This release has everything, including a new episode developed by ID software and Nightdive Studios. Each game supports 4K and yes, you can use cheat codes. If you haven't done so already, buy it!
It's Quake with improved graphics, support for higher resolutions, and better controller support (plus two new expansions). What's not to like?
