My initial situation before playing Grim Fandango: knowing LucasArts games since 1995 with Indy 4, then playing and loving Monkey Island series, Day Of The Tentacle, Sam'n Max, Full Throttle and The Dig — but I never played Grim Fandango until this remake. And how I regret it today... I love this game! It's probably the coolest adventure game I know. Although it's quite a surreal and strange scenario, it handles this background topic very respectfully and positively. And I like this very mature way of setting up a game on it and creating fun only through intelligent humor. The graphical setting is very nice. I enjoyed it very much on 2560x1440 although there are still some textures looking washed-out — but I don't bother about that. The music and sound is absolutely awesome — can't forget the music walking in front of 'blue casket', a masterpiece! The gameplay using the new mouse control is pretty good. Sometimes I found some pathfinding issues, but I've been always able to fix it. My conclusion: if you don't know the story about Manny and Meche and you're also loving cool and funny point'n click adventures — here's the one to buy if any!
