Greak: Memories of Azur

what a disappointment and missed chance

Visually game is really gorgeous, but gameplay is just horrible. To be more specific, you control multiple characters, and when you control only one game is enjoyable. Then game forces you to control two characters in a boss fight, and this is where you find out that inventory management and character control is beyond useful when you must control two characters, and that you have to either spend lots of time fighting uninituitive controls or uninstall a game. I choose, of course, not to waste my life with bad gameplay design. Too bad, game had such a potential, really a shame.

Depth of Extinction

I like it

Fun game, mix of rpg and tactical combat placed in post apocalyptic world. It has high replay value due to random elements.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate

Sorcerer has been killed!!!

So, after a lot of hours I can say this is fantastic game. There is a lot of good things in this game. Campaign slowly introduces new unit types and weapons and difficulty is adjusted correspondingly. Have no mistake, this is old school game, and you will have to spend some time to learn how to play it. Missions are really fun and challenging and you can get by using number of different strategies. Sound effects and music are just fantastic. Marine chants just put you in the mood and bring a lot to the atmosphere. Considering how old game is, graphics are just fine in my opinion. On downside, I had couple issues trying to start game (installed it on a path which had too many characters :) ), then I had known issue with slow animations. After deleting game's windows registry entries, and reinstalling game, I luckily no longer had any issues (on Win 10). Game also suffers from lack of some quality of life features, like saving squad configuration, some movement issues etc., but can be overlooked.

Samorost 3

a hidden gem

Haven't played first two games, so I can not compare this game to two others, but on its own, I must say this is such beautiful game, from art, sound, music and atmosphere, everything is dream like. Puzzles are sometime pleasurable, sometimes require a lot of trial and error, but overall I found them interesting. Only negatives that I can think of is that there is unnecessary backtracking sometimes (moving from one scene to other, and then back) but I can look it over and still give it 5 stars.

Downfall: Redux

holy sh** what a game!!!

Just finished this game, and man what a twist towards the end. Wow, just wow. Game is very similar to the Cat Lady in style, atmosphere and most importantly in quality. It compliments the Cat Lady really, really well. Definitely one of top horror games out there, if you want something weird and unusual look no further. Also I wouldn't worry too much about voice acting, it's not that terrible and it doesn't hinder your game play experience. Overall, just amazing game, can't wait for next offering from Harvester Games :)
