...The controls and camera can become an awful nuisance. For the rest, it was an excellent experience: Beautiful, yet simple and short story. A world crafted like ancient, handmade toys, with memorable characters and endearing voice acting. Not too many collectibles, it doesn´t become tiring before long. A compact, pretty journey. Wish I had played it when it was released.
2007, that´s the first time I played Parallel Lines, according to the data on my dusty Memory Card. It was an experience unmatched to this day by any other racing game I ever tried. At least on the casual segment. The introduction cinematic alone is still one of my most memorable moments in videogames, and instantly got me hooked... Soundtrack, vehicle handling, the traffic, the streets... I returned to the game this year, and all of this features are still in great harmony to me. If you have the urge to just start driving head on against incoming traffic, while evading it and the police simultaneously, I belive this will be worth your time. At least it is worth mine.
