Great game! Was totally immersed by the time the demo ended and can't wait for the finished product! Have been looking forward to this for a while and it exceeded my expectations. Will definitely buy the game when it comes out. Im a big fan of older PC RPGs like EOTB, Dark Sun, the Krynn Trilogy etc etc and when i laid eyes on the trailer for this i was immediately excited. Upon playing the demo I was floored at how great and streamlined the user interface is. sometimes the older PC RPGs have a bit of a learning curve but this game was great to pick up and go. Familiarity with older games in this style will help but its not necessary. the C64 8 bit graphics are charming and and have a level of detail the older games in this style ddnt have. The story is quite haunting and intriguing and i was pleased with the amount you get in this FREE demo. It's a turn based RPG and combat is a lot of fun. There are plenty of options for class progression. They implemented a Fallout style perk system which works great here. A detail i LOVE is how every piece of armour or weapon i equipped was visible on my character. If you love these types of games i cant see how you wouldn't enjoy this, or at least find the effort admirable. Check it out its FREE!! I hope this is a success and becomes a series in its own right.
Worth the investment whether you're a long time fan of point and click adventures or are interested in trying something different. Born Punk has a lot of features that make this game a great introduction into point and clicks for someone who hasn't tried them, but it doesn't take away from the experience for anyone familiar with the genre. For my first couple of hours of play I found myself stuck at 2 different puzzles but was able to figure them after some exploring before it became frustrating. It feels good to progress and I get the feeling (especially with the lore) that I'm in a large expanded world with a lot going on to discover. The cyberpunk setting is very prominent so if you like that kind of thing you shouldn't be disappointed. I am very happy with this purchase.
