Cyberpunk 2077

A GTA clone with some cyberpunk in it

GTA-like games are not my cup of tea, so I may be a bit bias. If you like GTA, this game may as well be a good game for you. Roaming in a city with a car or motorbike, missions on the spot, missions given by telephone calls, character progression, nice cut scenes, cars (and motorbikes) with radio playing horrible music... it's all there. In 21h of gameplay I run just into a couple of bugs, but nothing major: my motorbike got stuck on a pile of rubbish (but you can call your vehicle from anywhere), one cut scene where NPC audio was not working, and one mission where snipers moved like Quicksilver (bug or feature?). Driving cars seems to be very difficult (at least for me), compared with the smooth riding of a motorbike. I keep sliding and hitting things or people all the time. For combat, at the beginning I tried to do stealth and some strategy while using guns. Now I just blast in with a katana and kill everybody in a blink of an eye. With guns takes me forever. It seems a bit unbalanced. And no, is not due to my skills/perks, because I actually distributed them quite wrongly. Sniper rifles are almost useless. Hacking cameras and other electronics gets old very quickly. The AI is not very clever anyway. Most of the time I stay behind a doorway and cut with the katana any bad guy (they come one by one) that comes to me. I gave 3 stars because it does more or less well what it does (so far), but for a game with cyberpunk in its title I was expecting something different. I don't feel like I'm in a cyberpunk world. Yes, there are body implants, cyberpunk lingo, some floating transports and Japanese characters, but something is missing. I think it's the scenery and the soundtrack. I have zero feeling that I'm in a cyberpunk world. Just feels like some overpopulated city in a not so distant future. The soundtrack is horrible.

Absolute genius

I'm enjoying this game like I haven't enjoyed games for a while. A refreshing take on dungeon crawler and RPG. And by the way, reference jokes aren't bad at all. Already a few made me smile. OK, you're not going to ROFL, but for that better listen stand up comedy. This is a game and makes really well.
