Gothic 3

One of the BEST open world games.

Despite not being a finished product, Gothic 3 has TONS of hours of epic gameplay. I loved everything about the game. The combat, the spells, i love everything about this game. I recommend to play with AB(alternative balancing). AB makes far harder to have a god in mid level gameplay and fixes some ballancing problems, Finished the game as a water mage and have more than 200 hours of gameplay. Gothic 1 and Gothic 3 are my favorite games of the franchise.

Diablo + Hellfire

Best Diablo game.

By far the best Diablo game. The athmosphere is unique. The combat is also amazing. No cooldowns or other awful modern mechanics. Instead of becomming better at casting fireballs by finding bigger and sharper axe on D3, or by just investing points on D2, you become better at it by reading spellbooks. Diablo 1 is one of the most important masterpieces. My unique critique is the game length. Is too short if compared to other 90s RPG's

Risen 3: Titan Lords

Good game but TERRIBLE start

My greatest problem with rising is that the melee combat is completely awful. You click in attack button. A 6541968416835 sec long 720º rotating overswing sword-cut animation starts, you get interrupted and the "ranged" weapons only works at melee range. The game is quite good AFTER you join in a faction like Guardians because armyslaying spells like firerain(Gothic 3) can be purchased few moments after you join in Guardians and you don't need to manage your mana pool, only the cooldown. To be honnest i recommend to play on EASY and have a companion until you join in a faction. Took 3 hours to me but after this 3 hours, the game 'starts'. Still not good as other games of the same company but the quests, the scenarios and graphics are amazing. To be honest i rather play in a medieval Europe than in a Caribbean scenario but this game is a exception. PB managed to put a pretty good and solid RPG in this scenario. Risen 3 is much better than Risen 1 or 2.

Average, but can be better

The graphics combat and RPG elements are amazing BUT there are some issues. The good? - Cool RPG elements - Relative good story - Cool world - Lore The bad? - Lack of content. For a comparison, Gothic 2/3(same developer - piranha bytes) have much more locations, much more spells(you can only summon skeleton while in G3 you can summon skeletons, goblins, golems and demons), more enemies and you can take different ways. - Boring quests. Some quests are insane boring - Can learn magic only in monastery. The monastery quests are boring and you can't side with bandits and learn magic. Note that magic is necessary to solve some puzzles, so you will be forced to use scrolls. In G3 you can "side" with Xardas, Innos, Beliar, use any magic and magic isn't a requirement to complete the game. - Final boss. You have build a archer? A mage? In Final boss you will be forced to play as warrior using a specific set and the boss is more likely a platform boss than a RPG boss. There are a lore explanation to why only one weapon can do damage but i will not post spoilers in review.

Good game, but the WORST Gothic title

A average rating for a average 'generic' game. The game is bad? No, is better than the majority of 'modern' RPG titles but isn't like Gothic 3/2/1. The worlds is small, with less freedom, in G3 you can go any place at the beginning(except Vengard due the magical barrier that have lore explanation isn't artificially placed by no reason) of course a low lv char will have problems surviving against high level creatures, but you can do anything that you wanna do. This game is too easy, too repetitive, too linear and too casual compared with G3/2/1.
