Phantasmagoria

Great For It's Time

This is one of the first horror games I played on PC. It gives you genuine surprises and a big playground to point and click without having to follow too strict a guideline. It is definitely worth replaying; depending on where you are at certain points different scenes and developments can or can't take place. The graphics are much better than some indie games of our time and the music is great. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good scare.

Scratches Director's Cut

Tiresome

This point-and-click adventure was tiresome. There were maybe two jumpscares? I thought this game was much older than 2006 with the poor graphics, loose camera movement, and music. The story was pretty good; however, the rough handling, unnecessary amount of clicking to maneuver, and the terribly exact puzzles and almost unguessable progressions made this game a two out of five for me. I did enjoy the director's cut, so if you absolutely want to play this game I would suggest playing The Last Visit afterwards. If you want a better horror adventure in this style, try Phantasmagoria. It came out in 1995 and is much better.
