While i prefere the first game in most respects, the sequal defenetly are more approcheble when it comes to time investment. it is much less daunting to say "just one run" and then leave it there, than playing the first for hours and hours, only to get stuck in a failure cascade that cost you your best team an a full run of loot. And while i love the first, sometimes i do just one something a little bit ligther investemnt wise. absolutly love that they have gone more indepth with the heroes canonical story, and they have add a lot of new and interesting enemies to slaughter
Since Ubisoft murdered the beloved Heroes series, it is a delight to see a indi develepor take of the legacy of the venerable series. And by the gods Lavapotion have not only created a worthy successor, their unique ideas might very well be improvement on the formula The game is gorgeous, the factions are interesting and unique, the town building system allow for interesting strategic choices, and so does the magic system they have created. haven't played all of the campaigns yet, but the story for the campaigns are interesting so far :) All in All recommended for anyone who likes the Heroes games, and/or for anyone who likes turn-based strategy games
i loved owlbares first game Pathfinder Kingmaker, and Wrath of the Righteous is better, and have far greater replayability
