So this is a good first game in the Tex Murphy series even if it gets expanded upon and turned into some live acting in Overlord. The story is all here. The main problem with this game is that you will spend 85 percent of your time riding from place to place with your speeder even if you pick auto pilot to do it for you. You also have no idea how much money you should be bribing people to get information other than starting at 100 and increasing your offers by 100 until they accept. The later games in the series are greatly approved on. This one I am having no compatibility issues like I have been having with Overseer. Only play this game if you want to use the janky speeder controls and/or if you are a Tex Murphy Completionist.

This was the first computer game I didn't get from my older sibling or father when it was out in CD. A friend had it and I wanted it, eventually got it as a gift. I am happy to get to play it now to this day. The graphics can get janky but the soundtrack and voice acting is still top notch. Limited character skins, if that matters and can only play as a male character. Getting to decide if you are going to sneak, or shoot your way through everyone is fun. Be aware the save files are rather large and syncing up with GOG will limit how many different save files you can have. Originally having 3 endings seemed like a great thing when I was used to 1 ending games. Now the endings are a little bit of a letdown, nothing matters until the last chapter. I still wish there was an option to stay with your initial employer to the end. Hunt down your traitor brother and his friends. That is not the story being told though. Some of the dialogue can get really weird. The game has a number of lethal and non-lethal weaponry. When you are given the task to kill people if you use the non-lethal weaponry to get them "unconscious" everyone acts as if you killed them. Same goes if they want you to take arrest someone alive, making them unconscious is treated as if you killed them. Getting to use the different augmentations is fun. Of the various binary choices some are more obvious to other regardless of how you choose to play. Others are dependent on how you want to play. You don’t necessarily know until you have gone through a couple of playthroughs.

I have completed this game once. Played the hero and got the girl. Excied to see other possible endings. I do recommend entertainment mode, after playing gamer mode. The game has some easy and some diabolical puzzles and there doesn't really seem to get harder as the game goes on. They seem to throw in hard puzzles in the middle and some easy ones near at the end, and finish with a diabolical one. The story is immaculate a lot of fun cut scenes with full acting movie scense with some amazing gets. I played this game and Under a Killing Moon. Midge from the 70's show in the cut scense of this game and James Earl Jones doing voice acting in UaKM. If I can ever get the video and audio to work for Overseer I am excited to play that game as well. I played Overseer and UaKM back near release on CDs. I did not play Pandora Directive before now. You are welcome to play them out of order as you like. They will reference previous games but not playing the previous games will not detract from the sequels.
