Much like any "collector's edition" and their digital deluxe counterparts, the added content often has little to do with the game. What value provides a concept artbook? A statue/figurine? Or a cloth map? These novella's are in line with that. And as someone who enjoys reading they provide good content. Each and every novella is equivalent to something that you would find for $5~10 in a bookstore, depending on when it was released, who wrote it and what genre it is. Considering you get 4 novella's for a mere $16.29 ($8.29 on sale) as of writing. Thats some pretty decent content. On top of that you're currently getting a code for "The Bard's Tale" which is a good game in its own right though perhaps not enough reason to purchase this upgrade. I realize books aren't for everyone. But the content you get represents some actual value. Much unlike many of the skins or items you tend to get with many other games these days.
