MissionForce: CyberStorm

Fond Memories

I have not played this game since it first came out, but suddenly seeing it available on GOG got my unepectedly very excited. I remember being both challenged tactically and yet also very much involved in the storyline. I will have to buy again and see if it holds up to memory, but I would definitley recommend based on what I remember.

Dawn of Man

Beautiful and relaxing

Dawn of Man is a beautiful game. I play this game just to escape to serene, flowing landscapes graced with perfectly captured shifts in light as the the in-game seaons change. Playing this game fills me with nostalgia for an era only my DNA and spirit know of. Weather events in Dawn of Man send shivers down my spine as I find myself longing for a long hike in the remote wilderness. Mechanically, the game is worker placement and resource management at a casual level, which is perfect because it doesn't get too much in the way of your enjoyment of the landscape. It's possible to make the game more difficult by changing the settings, but to me that defeats the purpose of this game. Seriously, the developers did an amazing job of capturing the feeling of the wilderness and the every changing, yet ever dependable, aspects of nature. A wonderful, peaceful way to pass a few hours.
