The art and music are gorgeous. The voice acting is great. The 3D models and lighing effects are rad, and play nicely on my crap laptop. Sadly, the gameplay is basically three minigames strung together with a diary driven plot device. It gets pretty repetitive over the course of 20 to 30 missions. The game apparently has 330. The flight model in the dogfighting is very arcadey. There's no need for maneuvers, just steer towards the enemy, shoot him down, and repeat. The strafing and bombing missions are 3/4 and top down perspective, respectively. The story is nice, but not compelling enough to keep you grinding through the missions. I played it for an hour, and don't feel compelled to pick it up again. I supposed if you don't have the nostalgia trip going on, you won't either.
