This game looked like a budget FPS. It turned out to be one of the most immersive, atmospheric and fun game of the last many months. Don't look at the screenshots because while they show the game, they can lead you to the conclusion that it is not worth your time. Believe me: it is. This games brings back faith that gaming is not dead and that you can still be surprised.
I usually don't write reviews but... Play this. It is not an AAA game, it is not supposed to be. It is a JOURNEY. An EXPERIENCE. Creepy, disturbing with a lot of "WTF" moments. Yes, some puzzles are annoying but you have uncle Google to help you. Yes, the shooting is hard and can be annoying but THAT'S THE POINT!. People in other reviews act like this is supposed to be an FPS like Doom. It is not and the cluncky shooting and other mechanics are PART OF THE EXPERIENCE!. Well... in any case guys, give it a try. It's been long months since I was so sucked in just because of the atmosphere and the overall "what is going on". This game just proved to me once again it is not me who is borde of gaming, it is the market that produces less and less interesting and courageous productions. This one is such a production, give it a try.
Like'able characters and very credible interaction between them, fluid and fast combat, a good story, replayability... this game had it rough when it came out and honestly I never understood why. Even now, years after its premiere it holds its own very well. You should really give it a chance. The only thing that annoyed me was that there is a lot of running back and forth but that is a problem that most games struggle with (the worst being Deus Ex Mankind Divided ;) ). TRY IT PEOPLE!
