And the Hero Was Never Seen Again

One of Kagura's best!

These are the kinds of Kagura games that need our support. A lot of effort went into this one, and it shows. Quality stuff worth $15 imo, even better on sale.

Cyberpunk 2077

Save your money.

TL;DR - If this was free, you'd still feel robbed of your time. Disclosure: I played 50 hours, and I believe we all owe it to ourselves to remember the promises of CDPR over the last decade. There is no reviewing Cyberpunk "on its own." All that matters is the idea of Cyberpunk that they sold us. Gameplay: Go watch any video on Cyberpunk's flaws. A broken and boring mess. Assuming your suspension of disbelief isn't disturbed by poor performance, bugs, or simply-coded AI, it's all just so unfulfilling. Want exciting character progression? This ain't it. Early game -> minor damage Mid game -> more damage Late game -> max damage Story: When every other aspect of the game is so poorly done, no story will be good enough. As I said before, go watch any video on this topic. The illusion of choice isn't even convincing. It's painfully obvious nothing you do really changes anything. Everything is so static. A linear story presented in an open world. Visuals: The game might have nice technologies backing it, but if that's not what I see, what does it matter? The graphics only just match bare-minimum expectations for a game that was hyped as intensely as this one was. Nothing close to what I would call revolutionary. Promises: CDPR wants you to believe they're going to "fix" this game. I guess that depends on what you see as fixing the game. Fixing it so it is minimally functional, or fixing it so it more accurately represents the product they promised to deliver? Let's assume they made the game run flawlessly, without bugs. The game would remain a sub-par experience. I might give it a 2/5 stars.
