I've been enjoying this collection quite a bit, but every so often I have to go in and delete the config file "kexengine.cfg." If I don't, the game develops pretty bad frame pacing that is super jarring for me. Additionally, switching between two different machines can cause this issue or cause the game to not start at all until the config file is deleted. The only settings I ever change are using the software rendererer (more true to original shading) and turning off the crosshair. Beyond this silly issue, I have no complaints really. My preferred way to play DOOM on modern PCs now. The OG DOS is still a unique and great experience to go back to though

Big Tomb Raider fan here. I played through the first level of each game and want to share my first impressions. The volume was very quiet so I turned it up from 5 to 10 in the game settings. This resulted in music/environmental sound and voiceovers in TR4 and TR5 being loud while all sound effects were very quiet, particularly noticable with gunshots and swimming. I can barely hear footsteps at all. In TR6, it's kind of opposite as in voiceovers are not quiet, even after adjusting the new voice slider in options. TR4: Good: Controls have improved in that you no longer have to hold crouch to climb into a gap and you can exit gaps facing forward, bringing the experience in line with TR5. Bad: Character models for young lara and Werner fall in the uncanny valley for me. Facial proportions and textures just look bleh. I also thought TR1-3 remastered Lara was a little uncanny, but it's worse here. Additionally, the environmental textures look very flat compared to previous remasters. Lastly, the time of day and season have been adjusted for the first level, leading to the level being overall dimmer and losing it's original feeling/lighting. TR5: Good: Environmental textures don't look as flat. Time of day and season are accurate to the original, leading to the remastered visuals feeling more close to the original. Great additions to buildings like lights to make environments feel more complete. Bad: Classic graphics are more washed out than they should be. TR6: Good: New route in the first level taking you through beta areas. This includes voiceovers not present in the original game. Was really quite the treat. Bad: Bugs. Climbing the pipe in the beginning of the new area wouldn't let me get off to the right like the game wanted until I dropped down and climbed the pipe again. I found a key to unlock a door, but that door didn't open until my third attempt at opening it. Overall, I'm pleased but the games could use more polish. I hope the issues will be fixed.

Firstly, huge classic TR fan going on two decades. I can soar with the tank controls. Everything goes great with the modern controls (after googling all of the unintuitive mappings that should have been supplied in a tutorial or at least a digital manual), until you start trying to swim. She only moves in water using the left analog stick and the angle is completely dependent on the camera angle, and the camera stops responding or "gets stuck" on a wall in tight areas of which there are many. Meaning Lara just runs into a wall and drowns because you can't move the camera. Sometimes you can press the right analog stick to go into "look" mode and then press it again to reset the camera angle somewhat, but it does not always help. Additionally, when you are climbing up ledges, it is as if the analog stick is interpreting only four directions. It is unpredictable as to which direction you will have to press to climb upward, which was never a problem in TR LAU. The classic graphics are the PC version graphics with no filtering. There's no graphics options for either classic/modern graphics, so you get what you get. This remaster needed more time to bake. I suppose that's just the way games get released nowadays.

This is honestly one of the best indie games I've ever played, everything about it is great: The graphics, music, gameplay, and well, it doesn't have a big story, but trust me, it doesn't need one. The only, and I mean, ONLY reason I wouldn't recommend this on GOG.com is because the version from the official site includes a Linux version. If you are a Linux user, then you should probably get the game elsewhere. However, if you're on a Mac or Windows completely, then please, buy this game right now. You won't regret it.
