Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk failed as an Open-world game

Let's start with the good 11/10 Main and Side Quests, will keep you interested and provide the illusion that this is an open-world game. 10/10 Map Design 8/10 Graphics (couldve been 10 if it ran well on the lowest recommended hardware) Now we're done with the good of this game, onto the bad: GAME PHYSICS: bruh open-world games that are more than a decade old is better than this. water physics? car/object deformation? hit npc in the leg and they go down holding their head?? AI: open-world games feel alive because of the small things the AI does, this game has the most mediocre AI I've played, everyone just crouches. Police AI, they dont chase you with their cars or flying cars, they just spawn randomly behind you and leave you once you run for 2 blocks. CUSTOMIZATION/CHOICES: The game advertised customization and made it to the point that my choices mean anything, guess what, there are absolutely no customization ingame besides what you wear and what you use for combat. ABSOLUTELY nothing else can be customized in this game besides the pre-game. again, games 15+ yrs older than this has more customization features. the game-changing choice that would truly matter is what you pick on the last mission, thats it. STYLE: seriously, I dont see style having an effect on me this game, I main corpo and I buy/craft legendary corpo suits, nothing happens. GANGS: like for real? I was expecting to have gang reputations for example maybe a quest from Maelstrom to eliminate a certain 6th Street hideout, would then increase my Maelstrom rep and decrease 6th Street rep. Instead, we were given a linear "Street Cred" also, why are the gangs not moving? I see no interaction or war within them. That certain PS2 game had more gang war/ gang cred in its game. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, or rather loved the game, right now I have clocked in 110 hours. First 70-80 hours was good, had tons of mission. But after I played it like an open-world did I realize it sucked.
