In a way, I love this game. It provided my friends and I lots of laughs when I played it through back in college. But, let's be clear: a true Might and Magic game, this is not. There are really no tangible RPG elements. It's not party-based, but rather you follow your mute protagonist in fixed (and often broken) 3rd person perspective through the most linear landscape and game play conceivable. Indeed, for each location, whether in a cave or outside, your progress is consistently funneled from one straight corridor to the next. The voice acting provides comedy, as interns on Windows mics lazily plod through pointless dialog. Also, expect a lot of jump puzzles, which are only puzzling in their sheer magnitude, especially considering the imprecise controls that will lead to many deaths in bottomless pits. Finally, given the limited locales, expect to back track a lot. Indeed a better title for this might be, Marathon Runners of Might and Magic. By the end of the game I spent at least 75% of the time hiking my hero back and forth through the already tedious landscape, fighting the same monsters over and again. Don't waste your time on this one unless you want to get some laughs with your other geek buddies. Instead try one of the other great Might and Magic titles on GOG!
