TigerShark

cant rate what you can't play

looks promising, but while the store says compatible with windows 11, it simply crashes on launch. Even the configuration screen crashes. All the normal workarounds like compatibility tweaks have no effects.

The Outer Worlds

Great blend of tasks and humor

Enjoyed the previews, and the game didn't dissapoint with it's humor. Companions personalities were well done and as a shooter/rpg it was challenging but well balanced. One star removed for the stupid lesbian romance quest - checking boxes is always a bad idea for a game like this.

Overload

Successful Next Gen Game!

I joined GOG years ago to get my hands on Descent 1, 2, and 3 that would work on modern machines. (I'm dating myself, but I spent hundreds on an s3Virge card to get descent 2 going in dos...). I find "remakes" to be often disapointing in some way, but Overload is a great game! Keeps what is best about the originals, and adds some very interesting features like upgrades between levels and a pretty good backstory. My kids and I still play descent 3 multiplayer as it's one of the cleanest and best ways of going head to head in anarchy type play with lots of excitement and humor,(no blood and guts) and once I can upgrade their video hardware, I'm sure overload will not fail to please. A must have game for original Descent fans. Well Done!

SimplePlanes

Just what I was looking for!

Back when Microsoft Flight Simulator came on a single 3.5" floppy, (I know, I'm admitting my age here), it came with a very simple flight dynamics program that allowed you to design your own basic plane and try it out. I spent hours with it, just as others might relax with puzzle games. This game does exactly that, and very well, with much better visuals and more physics options. Working on basic design and testing software just for the fun of it, has an appeal not readily filled by other game genres. The fact that it doens't do anything else is not a drawback - neither do plastic "building bricks" until you apply your imagination, and they are hardly going out of style. :-) Easy enough to use for both young and old, from the young lego builder, to the teen who thinks its funny to crash stuff, to the imaginative older hobbyist who enjoys building models, this "game" will provide hours of fun. Highly recommended!

Outlaws + A Handful of Missions (Classic, 1997)

Finally!

Finally here! Been waiting for GOG to get this great title on - great first person shooter because it has such a great story, with the satisfaction that comes with a target rich environment. We still listen to the fantastic soundtrack that I ripped from the old cd's 20 years ago...

Treasure Adventure Game

Doesn't work.

It's labeled for windows 7, but it won't get past the opening screen. I locks up in the menu in such a way that I have to use task manager to shut it down. Any notes on optimizing the operating environment to avoid this would be helpful.
