Eador. Masters of the Broken World

the second eador genesis

the game is mostly a 3d remake of eador genesis pro everything went 3d and looks better, better sound, somewhat improved mechanics. con moves slower, took a lot of patches to get it somewhat right, for me the clear laid town of genesis became a maze I can't stomach, with endless radial menues. the thing is with an average of 100 maps to win on a playthrough and dozens of buildings to build .... the wasted time on menues is a no-no for me. add to that the 3d troop fights that take to much time as well. ps I would give genesis 10 stars if posible. to me anything that went from poligons to 3d from panzer general to fantasy wars etc did not add anything to the game, quite the opposite. it takes hundreds of moves per game and you will not waste time admiring the pointy sticks.

Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat

one of the best rts games

this is an rts isometric title - 3d spites on 2d terrain if it isn't the best and hardest rts - than its succesor dark omen is - hopefully on gog soon you get a solid branching story, realistic models - even now, solid feeling - remember what that is, every play through the ai reacts differently, wounded and dead characters are hard to replace, enemy will always overwhelm you - but not due to absurd resources as nowadays, winning feels an accomplishment, replay value enormous - you will replay missions to get a better end result , troopers are a little replaceable, units are not, you can loose a mission and grab magic items or experience WATCH your gold , you run out you are done... AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD : learn how to use a computer before you rate games : net framework, drivers, sound drivers, visual c++, not to rate a game based on mods - or at least let people know one of the reasons i almost never care about user reviews....
