Its been a while since I played Frostpunk 1 so I may be remembering incorrectly, but from what I have played with Frostpunk 2 I feel like it remained true what made Frostpunk so enticing. I like the constant balance of resources and population and seeing the inhabitants of this frozen wasteland eke out a living despite their surrounding conditions. Every new objective is attainable, but also requires some level of forethought. Overall, good game, recommend, buy it even at full price.
While it was shaky and almost criminal at launch it has come a long way, especially after Phantom Liberty. I recommend this game 100%.
