while both original battlefront games were great, in this one the AI tended to fight at major areas and hold chokepoints while battlefront 2's AI would be more sporadic and spread out into small skirmishes. another thing this game has over the sequel is each faction's special units were unlocked at the start of the match unlike battlefront 2 and no there's no playable heroes (which I didn't personally like in battlefront 2) though it's mostly personal preference and you can't go wrong with either of the two original battlefronts.
Online play doesn't seem to be working but the game itself is fine, has controller support out the box.
